ProGamingTvG
My first YouTube venture at age 17, creating Formula 1 gaming content.
This YouTube channel was my first attempt at content creation when I was 17. I was young and inexperienced but passionate about Formula 1 gaming. I participated in an online racing league and decided to try recording and sharing our races.
The channel reached around 350 subscribers at its peak. It was an important learning experience that taught me the basics of video editing and content creation.
Online Racing League
I was part of a small online community where we took our Formula 1 gaming quite seriously. Most of us used steering wheels and pedals, which made the experience feel more realistic. Each race lasted about 1 hour, and we tried to make it feel like a proper championship.
While we were just a group of enthusiasts rather than anything truly professional, we had fun trying to simulate real racing conditions.
Recording Multiple Perspectives
Some of us would record our races from our own viewpoints. After each race, a few drivers would share their recordings with me, giving me different angles of the same events.
Basic Video Editing
I would then try to edit the footage together, switching between different perspectives to show the race from various viewpoints. It was my first time doing anything like this, so the editing was pretty basic.
Race Commentary
I would record commentary over the edited footage, sometimes with other racers. We tried to make it sound like real race coverage, discussing what was happening during the races.
One-Hour Race Coverage
Each race lasted about 1 hour, and I would cover the entire duration with commentary and multiple camera angles. It was quite ambitious for a 17-year-old!
I was proud of the effort I put into creating comprehensive race coverage for each event.
First Steps in Content Creation
This project was my introduction to video editing, working with multiple video files, and creating content that others might want to watch. The technical side was challenging for someone just starting out.
It taught me the basics that would help with future projects. Even though the audience was small, it was an important first step in learning how to create content.
